The course is 9 holes of pure heaven. While playing the course you are going to want to stop several times to take pictures of Australia’s beauty that surrounds you. The course overlooks the Indian Ocean, and if you look carefully you may spot a dolphin or two dancing in the water. The fairways are lined with beautiful, native coconut trees. Be careful if you are retrieving your ball from the edges of the course, crabs like to sit along the edge of the jungle (you may just want to pack a few extra balls just in case).
Christmas Islands Golf Club
The Christmas Island Golf Club was established in 1955. It is nestled between dramatic cliffs, National Park and the Indian Ocean. The area selected was partly cleared by Prisoners of War during World War II. In 1954 a petition was presented to the Christmas Island Manager requesting permission to form a golf club.

Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.
This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.
What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
